[PRINCESS PRINCESS Profile] A band consisting of Kaho Kish*tani (Kaho Okui), Kanako Nakayama, Kyoko Tomita, Shigeko Konno, and Atsuko Watanabe. The five members who would later become Princess Princess met on February 20, 1983. They made their debut in 1986.

With each single release, such as 'Sekai de Ichiban Atsui Natsu' (1987), 'Diamonds' (1989), 'OH YEAH!' (1990), 'Julian' (1990), and 'KISS' (1991), they achieved consecutive number one rankings on the Oricon charts. Their albums 'LOVERS' (1989) and 'PRINCESS PRINCESS' (1990) recorded million sales, and in 1989, they became the first all-female band to perform at the Nippon Budokan. On May 31, 1996, they put an end to their activities with a concert at the Budokan.

However, from January 6, 2012, to March 26, 2016, they reunited for the support of the Tohoku earthquake recovery. During their 13 years of activity, they attracted 1.9 million people to their live performances.

Even after their disbandment, their existence and songs continue to be loved by many as pioneers of girl bands.
