The United Nations General Assembly has made an unprecedented move in the regulation of artificial intelligence. In a historic resolution, the UN has called for "safe, secure and trustworthy" AI systems, which includes the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms. The resolution further states that "The same rights that people have offline must also be protected online, including throughout the life cycle of AI systems." This is a crucial step in ensuring that AI, which is increasingly integrated into various domains, ranging from healthcare to national security, does not infringe on our rights. Would this resolution succeed to cover the warfare and battlefield domain #AI #UN #warfare #PNT #globalpolicy
